ABOUT THE AATMIC SCIENCE FOUNDATION
The Aatmic Science Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 since September, 2006 with its registered office at 26-D/1, Pannalal Road, Allahanbad – 211 002. Its main objectives are:
- To forge a synthesis between spirituality and materialism, body and soul, science and religion, faith and dogma, excessive consumerism and asceticism, happiness and hedonism, the Oriental and the Occidental etc. in order to provide a unity of all diverse forms of knowledge.
- To promote scientific interpretation of the rich philosophical traditions of the East and the West with special focus on the philosophy of the Upanishads and the Bhagvadgita.
- To educate people about the concept of the Aatmic Science (Science of Soul) and its application to the various aspects of our day-to-day life.
- To publish books, magazines and journals on subjects relevant to the aims and objectives of the Foundation.
- To organize conferences/seminars on topics relevant to the concept of the Aatmic Science.
Present Activities:
With the above objectives in view, the Foundation has launched a website www.scienceofsoul.com and has also been bringing out a quarterly print journal, Science of Soul, a brief description of which is given below:
The website ‘www.scienceofsoul.com’ was launched on 30th Setember, 2007. Even before that, the Foundation had launched another website ‘www.aatmicscience.com’ and made a Forum by the name of Aatmic Science Forum with about 250 persons as its registered members. The new website ‘www.scienceofsoul.com’ has made rapid progress since its launch. It has published about two hundred new articles with an elite panel of authors and two experts to reply to queries on various topics related to scientific approach to spirituality, philosophy and religion. 32000 of its web pages have been visited by numerous visitors since its launch and about 300 of them have joined the website as its registered members.
The inaugural issue (Oct.-Dec.2007) of the quarterly print journal, Science of Soul was formally released on 30th September, 2007 at a function organized at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The journal, which is now in its seventh issue, has been well received by the enlightened sections of the society and its popularity and acceptability has been steadily growing ever since. The journal, though in English, carries in each issue two articles in Hindi for the benefit of our Hindi readers. For those interested in the spiritual message of the Gita, the journal has been carrying a regular feature on it. All the articles of the journal are also available on the above website for ready access to the visitors.
Besides, the Foundation is active in organizing seminars, spiritual talks, cultural evenings; and in exchange of such activities with other spiritual organizations.
Benefits to Members:
All members joining the Foundation for life are entitled to free supply of the Foundation’s journal, Science of Soul for life. Future publications, if any, of the Foundation will also be supplied to them absolutely free.
Members will also be entitled to other privileges to be announced by the Foundation from time to time. |
