Eistenin said that all sciences, religions and arts are the branches of the same tree. You can see them as different and you can also see them same.
Science and faith are two different things in a way that science deals with material evidences while faith means trust. Yet they are as mcuh integrated with each other as body and soul. In life you need both. If someone give you some knowledge, you have to have some trust as well as evidence to accept it. If you trust a person and you happen to get a strong material evidence aginst him, the trust is gone. Similarly if you do not have faith, all material evidences cant change your faith. For example, if a study proves that Prayer does tremendous harm to your health, you are not going to stop praying unless you have faith on the study.
Science is a branch of knowledge that believes in the truths only if that can be seen and proven by experiment, logic or reason.Yet religion can not survive, if it has no truth in it. No sane person can have faith on somehitng that is false even if he wishes to. If people follow religion, it is due to some benefits they get by following religion. There are any number of studies that has proven that religious people are less likely to get addicted, low chances of divorce, more law abiding , live longer and so on. Pl read the article, "why people get addicted" on www.aatmicscience.com for details.
God is surely a matter of faith, yet many scientiifc studies have proven the reasons for believing in God. If you are a scientist, you need not to be atheist.
God: God is the Supreme Reality that pervades the world
Religion: The practices that helps a person develop faith in God.
Faith: The trust in God which comes from practice of religion
Science: A branch of knowledge that is based on material evidences and reasoning.
They are all related to each other like different parts of the body. You eliminate one and you make the person lame.
